Two vehicle crashes were reported in northern Indiana County on Monday.
The first crash was reported at 2:32 PM. Indiana County 911 reported that Commodore Fire Department, State Police and Citizens Ambulance were called to the crash scene. Commodore fire department says that a T-bone style crash happened at the intersection of Tipperary Road and Elm Road in Green Township. When fire crews got there, they found one of the victims got themselves out of the car, and no one was trapped. Two people were taken to the hospital. The driver had minor injuries, and the passenger in that vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The person in the other vehicle did not report any injuries.
Commodore fire department was called out again at 7:22 PM on Route 286 East in Montgomery Township. This time it was for a car that crashed into a pole. The pole was sheared as a result of the impact. The fire department provided traffic control until a tow truck arrived and removed the vehicle. Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were on the scene of the crash as well.
Police have not released reports on either crash.
