An Armstrong County man is scheduled for Plea Court today before Judge Thomas Bianco.
54-year-old Thomas Heinle of Spring Church will answer to charges of simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, misbranding a controlled substance, harassment, and public drunkenness.
Heinle was charged last December by Clymer Borough Police after a fight in in the middle of Penn Street. When police arrived, they were told that Heinle had assaulted a woman who was inside a vehicle. She had black pavement marks on her hands and a lump on her head and she told police that she and Heinle had been fighting over a cell phone when he picked her up and slammed her down onto the road surface.
Police observed a digital scale with a white powdery residue in the vehicle, and they then found several bags labeled with Heinle’s name, a glass meth pipe, plastic straw, and a torch lighter. They found more paraphernalia and some pills on Heinle later at the police station.
