A Saltsburg woman was charged with drug possession for an incident back in late April. State police from the Kiski Barracks say that on April 30th at 8:28 PM, they performed a welfare check on a woman who was passed out in the driver’s seat of a car parked in a parking lot near Aggie’s Country Market at Route 286 and 3rd Street, and her vehicle was still in drive. Police identified the woman as 40-year-old Kristy Dice of Saltsburg, and she was arrested for DUI and drug possession.
A Derry man now faces charges of terroristic threats in connection with an incident on May 15th at a home in Derry Township. Police say 21-year-old Tyler Rost-Maiole of Derry threatened his father Thomas Maiole and uncle James Maiole with a 12 gauge shotgun. He would fire a round from the shotgun before going back into his bedroom. Tyler Rost-Maiole would later be taken into custody without incident.
State police have charged a 36-year-old woman from Latrobe for robbing a convenience store in Derry Township. State Police from the Kiski Barracks say that on Thursday at 11:30 AM, police responded to a report of theft at the BP Gas Station and Convienence Store on Route 982 in Derry Township. A store representative said that an employee, who was not named in the report, was ringing up transactions, but would void them out and pocket the cash for herself. After reviewing footage over several weeks, they determined she stole about $2,500. When she was taken into custody, drug paraphernalia was found in her possession. Charges were filed in District Court.
