Thursday night, the Penns Manor School Board approved the 2020-2021 budget.
The revenues come to $17,147,059 and the expenses came to $18,138,395. District Superintendent Daren Johnston said a number of methods would be used to bring the budget into balance.
The board was split on the budget, as it came to a 5-4 vote. Ron Larch, Paul Boston, Debora Tate and Richard Polenik voting against the budget.
The board did unanimously approve the Health and Safety plans for the school district and for the athletic programs for the next school year. Those plans are needed for a return to in-person instruction in the fall and the return of student athletes for workouts and possibly practices.
