At the Wednesday night White Township Supervisors meeting, the supervisors received an update on their stewardship plan.
Township Manager Milt Lady said that the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources have received the stewardship plan and that their service forester did an on-site inspection of White’s Woods on June 4th. Lady also updated on what happened after the inspection.
The supervisors then unanimously approved putting the draft stewardship plan on the township’s website, www.whitetownship.org. The copy on the website will be the same that was sent to DCNR for their review. A response from DCNR is forthcoming.
In other business, the township got an update on the Green Light Go project at the intersection of Ben Franklin Road, Indian Springs Road and Warren Road. The board was told that the poles were inspected and delivery is expected any day.
Finally, the board approved the fireworks display for the 4th of July at Mack Park. People are reminded that the park will be open until 7:00 PM that day. At that time, the grounds will be cleared, but the fireworks show will be visible from just about anywhere in the community.
