The man who is wanted by Indiana Borough Police for a drive-by shooting in Indiana Borough Tuesday afternoon is also wanted by State Police for a robbery that happened earlier that day in White Township.
State police say 20-year-old Thomas Edward Lindsay of Indiana was charged by state police with robbery, terroristic threats, theft and receiving stolen property connected with an incident on Tuesday before the shooting in Indiana Borough. Troopers learned of the home-invasion style theft as they were assisting the borough police with their investigation. The theft happened in the 400 block of Center Street in White Township around 1:00 PM. The victims, an unnamed 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, reported that three men, forced their way into the home, brandishing handguns, and demanded money from the two. The three also ordered the victims to disrobe and they were searched for narcotics.
The thieves took a small amount of marijuana, several vape pens, two cell phones, and about $500 in cash. No injuries were reported, but both victims identified Lindsay as one of the three suspects.
Lindsay was charged earlier today by Indiana Borough Police with two counts of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person, and carrying a firearm without a license for the shooting at 4:10 in the afternoon. After an argument with the victim, Lindsay allegedly rode in a vehicle by the house and fired three shots at the victim. There were no gunfire-related injuries, and the car sped off after the shots were fired.
State Troopers are still working to identify the other two suspects. The victims describe them as black men in their 20s and 30s.
Anyone with information on Lindsay’s whereabouts can call Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121 or the Indiana Barracks of the State Police at 724-357-1960.
