State police have issued reports on three vehicle incidents – an accident and two fires – on area highways last week.
The first of those crashes, at 8:51 AM last Monday the 15th, left both drivers with injuries. It was a collision at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Plaza Drive in White Township. Police say vehicles driven by 62-year-old Gregory Piper of Saltsburg and 71-year-old William Anderson of Indiana collided. Neither driver required hospitalization.
The second incident was a vehicle fire last Wednesday morning. Police say a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Kenneth Bowser of Derry had an electrical failure and caught fire as it was being driven on Route 119 in White Township. Bowser was not injured.
Then on Friday night, 52-year-old Kenneth Rhine of Homer City escaped injury when smoke started coming from underneath the hood of his pickup truck as he was driving on Oneida Mine Haul Road near Route 56 in Brush Valley Township.
