Three Indiana County school boards are scheduled to meet tonight.
Some of the items before the Indiana Area Board include a vote on the adoption of a $56.2 million budget, holding the line on real estate taxes at 15.36 mills. The board will also vote on the hiring of an assistant principal at the junior high school and a revised early retirement policy for AFSCME support personnel.
The Marion Center School Board tonight will vote on approval of a $26.64 million budget, with real estate taxes remaining the same at 11.9631 mills. The board will also vote on the purchase of a new K-through-six math curriculum and will discuss a memorandum of understanding regarding a retirement incentive with the Marion Center Area Educations Association.
The Purchase Line School Board will vote on a budget tonight, and the board will also consider a number of personnel items, including athletic positions.
