ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP
State police are investigating the shooting death of a man’s dog in Armstrong Township.
Police say a 60-year-old man who lives along Poulos Road told them the 120-pound Rottweiler was killed by an unknown person between 5:30 and 6 PM on June 4th. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 357-1960.
WHITE TOWNSHIP
State police say they have a suspect in a shoplifting case at the White Township Walmart store.
Police say a known woman went through the self-checkout and left the store without paying for $67.57 worth of merchandise, including men’s shorts, a zipper binder, a Post-It notes cube, some linen, and a beverage. It happened Friday afternoon. No arrest has been announced.
CLYMER
A Cherry Tree man was placed in the Indiana County Jail Saturday night for violating an active Protection From Abuse order against him involving a Clymer woman. State police say 45-year-old Michael Bernd is accused of going to the woman’s apartment on 6th Street in Clymer on Saturday night, and of calling the woman’s phone. Bernd was located and taken into custody in Cherry Tree.
