INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
A Johnstown Man faces charges of theft and attempted theft from vehicles for incidents back in April. Indiana Borough Police say that they were called out on April 11th to the 300 block of School Street for a theft from a vehicle. During the investigation, police said that Robert Bender of Johnstown had entered three vehicles in the area and stole items between 12:10 and 1:00 AM. It’s believed that Bender went into two other vehicles but did not take anything. A criminal complaint charging Bender with theft was filed at District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and underage drinking. Police say that on June 15th at 2:52 PM, they made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Gompers Avenue. As police approached the vehicle, they smelled marijuana. When police searched the vehicle, which was driven by 20-year-old James Williams, they found a small amount of marijuana, two smoking devices and a can of alcohol. A criminal complaint was filed through Judge Haberl’s office.
