Drug-related charges were filed against a Derry man after police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia at his home.
Reports say that 34-year-old Anthony Gigliotti was arrested after his home on East Second Avenue was searched on Thursday. Police were assisted by members of the state Attorney General’s drug task force and Westmoreland County Detectives. Drug-sniffing dogs were also deployed in the search. Police encountered a strong marijuana smell when they got into the house. The drug sniffing dogs were able to find marijuana in several rooms, including the attic. In total, 13 pounds of marijuana was found in the home. Police also seized a digital scale, marijuana packing materials and $2000 in cash.
