The public swimming pools in Indiana County remain closed, but public swimming will resume this weekend at Yellow Creek State Park.
Fifty-eight beaches in Pennsylvania’s state parks will open for the season on Saturday. In our area, that includes both yellow Creek and Keystone State Park in Derry Township.
Restrictions include a limitation to fifty percent of a beach’s capacity and a requirement that you wear a mask when not in the water. Physical distancing will be required, parking will be limited, and access to the beach will be controlled.
Yellow Creek’s camping cottages and yurts will open for rental on June 12th. The park’s three hiking trails are open right now, but the picnic pavilions will remain closed until further notice.
