A fundraising rally to help businesses in Indiana County was held Sunday.
The group “Get Indiana County Back To Work” held the rally for small businesses at the Indiana County Fox and Coon Hunters Association on Sunday. They had guest speakers during the event, along with various games and entertainment, but the main purpose was to raise funds for small businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Rally organizer Tammy Graham Curry said that they were able to award nearly $3000 in grants to some area businesses.
She also said that the Governor’s recent proclamation for Indiana County to go to Green Status in his reopening plan was on the mind of many there, with many business owners, including herself, having some trepidation about possibly sliding backwards if numbers associated with the Coronavirus outbreak get worse.
Indiana County will switch to Green Status at 12:01 AM Friday.
