Earlier today, two people running on the Democratic ballot for the State House and Senate seats in the primary election talked the state’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Senatorial candidate Tony DeLoretto and PA House candidate Denny Semsick were on WCCS this morning to give them equal time as Senator Joe Pittman and State Representative Jim Struzzi were on the air Friday. DeLoretto and Semsick were asked the same questions that were asked of Pittman and Struzzi.
One topic that was brought up was regional broadband, as the need for online learning in the k-12 schools increased as classes were cancelled for the year during the initial stages of the pandemic. DeLoretto said that he felt that Broadband internet access should be as essential as water or electricity.
While Semsick said that there is no doubt that broadband is needed in the county.
