For a third straight day, the percentage of recovered cases in the state has climbed. The state offers this definition of recovered: “Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.”
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports that the number of recorded positive cases increased by three to 440. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases remained at 58. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County increased by one to 57.

These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
