After no change yesterday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County increased by two to 88 in the last 24 hours.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 24. The county has 22 ventilators. One is in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports that the number of recorded positive cases increased to 434, two more than yesterday. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases remained at 58. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County increased by one to 55.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 65,392, an increase of 980 from Wednesday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 65,392 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 4,869, an increase of 102 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 65,392 have tested positive in the state, 303,514 have tested negative. In Indiana County 1,071 tested negative.
