The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County increased by two to 86, however, according to a county-by-county “death data” table on the department’s Web site, the number of deaths attributed to the virus in Indiana County has been reduced from six to four, as of midnight last night.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 24. The county has 22 ventilators. One is in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports that the number of recorded positive cases has reduced by one to 431. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases remained at 58. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County stayed at 54.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 63,666, an increase of 610 from Sunday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 63,666 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 4,624, an increase of 119 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 63,666 have tested positive in the state, 286,034 have tested negative. In Indiana County 1,032 tested negative.
