The IUP Emergency Fund received a large donation from Indiana Evening Rotary to help out students who are experiencing financial hardships due to the Coronavirus crisis.
In a news release, the $5000 will help students with housing, technology support, books and academic supplies, with a goal to help students continue with studies. Almost $200,000 has been donated to the IUP emergency fund since the fund was established in March. In a statement, Rotary Club President Tae Ayers said that every member of their board of directors agreed that the donation was an excellent opportunity to help students during this time.
Gifts to the IUP Emergency Fund will become a part of the IUP $75 Million Imagine Unlimited campaign. Over 250 students have been assisted with these funds.
