The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County stayed at 84, with six deaths attributed to the virus, for a third consecutive day.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 24. The county has 22 ventilators. One is in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases increased by five in the last 24 hours at 432. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases remained at 58. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County stayed at 54.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 63,056, an increase of 822 from Sunday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 63,056 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 4,505, an increase of 87 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 63,056 have tested positive in the state, 277,553 have tested negative. In Indiana County 1,019 tested negative.
