Yesterday was the first day under yellow status in Governor Wolf’s reopening of Pennsylvania and that meant some retailers were able to open under limited conditions.
Retailers that had been closed since March were able to reopen their doors provided that social distancing guidelines are kept in place. Josh Rosenberger of the 700 Shop in Downtown Indiana said it was good to reopen and get back to business.
Kip Redd of Luxemberg’s Jewelers said that he and Jeff Widdowson were optimistic for the future and they believe that Indiana is ready to do business.
While some non-essential businesses are allowed to reopen in the yellow phase, places like gyms, massage parlors, movie theaters and hair and nail salons have to remain closed for now. Also in the yellow phase, restaurants must continue to serve food via takeout or delivery.
