The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County remained unchanged in the last 24 hours. A total of 76 people have tested positive for Covid-19 since record keeping began. The number of deaths attributed to the virus in the county remained at five.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 23, with 97 negatives. The county has 22 ventilators and the one ventilator that was in use is now available again.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases, with one reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 418, and deaths remained at 30. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases stayed at 55, though deaths increased to five. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County remained at 44, with deaths at one.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 57,154, an increase of 543 from Sunday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 57,154 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 3,731, an increase of 24 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 57,154 have tested positive in the state, 231,704 have tested negative. In Indiana County, have 898 tested negative.
