State police say a man passed two phony one-hundred dollar bills this week at the Giant Eagle store in White Township.
It happened between 5 and 6 o’clock Wednesday evening. Police say the man used the bills to purchase flowers and other low-cost items, and then pocketed the change. When Giant Eagle checked the bills with a bank, they discovered they were counterfeit.
The suspect, a black male with a thin build, was seen on security video leaving the store wearing a blue and gray windbreaker, a black beanie cap, and blue jeans. He was not wearing a mask. He left the scene in a blue Toyota Rav4.
Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 357-1960.
