The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indiana County did not change in the last 24 hours. The number stands at 75, and the number of deaths attributed to the virus in the county remained at five.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 23, with 90 negatives. In the county, 22 ventilators are available. None are in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases, with two reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 411, and deaths remained the same at 29. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases stayed at 55, with one death to bring the total to three, while Jefferson County at seven positive cases. Cambria County increased by two cases to 37, with deaths at one.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 52,915, an increase of 1,070 from Wednesday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 52,915 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases increased by 310 to 3,416.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 52,915 have tested positive in the state, 209,873 have tested negative. In Indiana County, have 847 tested negative.
