Indiana Regional Medical Center is urging their patients to not delay procedures in its hospitals.
In an announcement, IRMC reports that while many plans are on hold for now due to Covid-19, health care efforts should still be tended to. Some of the efforts that IRMC are taking to make sure everyone’s safe include:
- Screening questions over the phone with a pre-screening and they are scanned once again once they reach the hospital.
- Rapid Coronavirus Testing as the in-house lab can turn out results in hours rather than days.
- Cleaning efforts have increased throughout the facility
- Appropriate personal protection equipment for patients
- Separate clinical and treatment areas
- And following best proceedures from the CDC and PA Department of Health.
The efforts are showing as IRMC earned its second consecutive A in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.
Physician offices, diagnostic imaging, emergency department, UrgiCare and surgical services are open now. You can also schedule doctor’s appointments by calling 888-452-IRMC, and you can make your appointment a tele-medicine appointment for primary care, specialists, and UrgiCare.
