Ronald J. “Junior” Gresko, Jr., age 50 of West Lebanon, died Friday, May 1, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born in 1969 in Buffalo, NY to Ronald J. and Nancy DeMetro Gresko.
Junior was a large part of the PennDOT family of Indiana County where he worked for the past 25 years. He began as a temporary and advanced to assistant maintenance manager. He also worked for his friends and neighbors doing excavation work, carpentry, and mechanical jobs.
Junior will be missed for his always joking personality, sarcastic comments, and his ability to build relationships with any stranger that he met. His work ethic and motivation to do the best that he could at whatever he did was a strength that he mastered throughout his life and was admired by many. He did so much for so many and asked for nothing in return. Although taken from us too early, his footprint will forever be by our side.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and in his spare time, traveled with his wife to different countries and enjoyed many trips to casinos. Junior also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Additionally, he enjoyed restoring Camaros and Firebirds.
Surviving is his wife of seven years, Marcella Guile Gresko, West Lebanon; four children – Justin J. Gresko, Elderton; Maria Gresko, Newark, DE; Holly Gresko, Saltsburg; Zella Gresko, West Lebanon; his father of Saltsburg; four grandchildren – Parker, Avery, Hailey and Hudson; one brother and two sisters – Laurie Claar and husband Jeff, Petersburg; Veronica Cramer and husband Robert, Penn Run; Daniel Gresko and wife Carrie, Saltsburg; two step-sisters and one step-brother – Robin Coleman and husband Michael, Saltsburg; Pamela Turnbull and fiancé Jerry Kisasonak, Versailles; Mark Seich and wife Brandi, Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Junior was preceded in death by his step-mother Nancy Gresko, paternal grandmother Mary Gresko and husband Joseph.
A private funeral service will be held for the family. There will be an opportunity to pay respects via a vehicle viewing on Tuesday May 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
Private interment will be made in the Bethel Cemetery.
