No one was injured but a house was damaged when a nearby shed caught fire early Sunday in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County.
Saltsburg, Tunnelton, and Blairsville firefighters responded at 1:30 yesterday morning to the property along Hickory Road. The shed behind the house was destroyed and the heat melted the vinyl siding and caused further damage to the house, including to a deck where a gas grill was located. Fortunately, the grill did not catch fire.
Hickory Road is located near Loyalhanna Dam.
