A Pittsburgh man was charged by Indiana Borough Police with stealing the tip jar from a restaurant in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street.
Police say that on April 30th, around 5:36 PM, a man entered the Villa II restaurant and stole a tip jar that contained roughly $10 from the counter. The theft was captured on security cameras. Police would spot the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Dejon St. Clair, at 1:59 AM inside another business in the 700 block of Wayne Avenue. When police arrived to investigate the Wayne Avenue incident, St. Clair fled on foot, but he was caught nearby.
St. Clair was charged with theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct.
