A coalition of leaders has formed to keep the public aware of local efforts to stabilize and rebuild Indiana County’s economy.
The partnership includes the county commissioners, Senator Joe Pittman, Representative Jim Struzzi, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Indiana County Center for Economic Operations. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, they will issue a bulletin called “Indiana County Road to Recovery”. It will contain Covid-19 resources for businesses, including financial opportunities such as loans and grants; information on keeping employees safe, such as where to get masks, sanitizer, and cleaning services; and dates of upcoming events.
There will also be safety tips and health-related information from IRMC, salutes to community heroes, and each issue will include the “Social Distance Dining Club”, which features a different local restaurant. Chamber President Mark Hilliard says it’s important to know that Indiana County is starting on the road to recovery.
Hilliard encourages any business owner who has not yet taken their eight-question survey to fill it out to help in the recovery. Here’s the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YTGNS9D
