Two IUP doctoral students in the composition and applied linguistics program were selected for awards from the National Council of Teachers of English.
The students are Havva Zorluel Ozer and Wenqi Cui, who were picked for the 2020 Conference on College Composition and Communication Scholars for the Dream Travel award. Recipients are selected based on their originality of their research, significance of instructional or theoretical contributions to the field and the potential for larger, subsequent projects. Only 20 applicants in the nation were selected for the award.
Both Ozer and Cui will be invited to present at the annual conference in the spring, which will be held virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and will receive a one year membership in the CCCC and The National Council of Teachers of English.
