According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as of noon today, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indiana County increased by only one, from 55 to 56, with still four deaths attributed to Covid-19. The number of positives reached 55 on Tuesday.
In Indiana County, reported as of noon today, Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 18, while Blairsville (or 15717) is second with 16.
Armstrong County’s total of positive cases also ticked up by just one to 39, with deaths remaining at two, while Jefferson County remained at three positive cases and Cambria County jumped to 21, with two deaths. Westmoreland County positive cases reached 300, an increase of nine from yesterday, while deaths remained at 20.
The state is reporting that the number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 35,684, an increase of 1,156 from Tuesday, and deaths climbed to 1,622. In the past 24 hours, 58 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19 in Pennsylvania, compared to 360 deaths reported on Tuesday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 39 percent of the 35,684 cases.
While 35,684 have tested positive in the state, 136,272 have tested negative. In Indiana County, 459 have tested negative.
