On Wednesday night, the White Township Supervisors heard from concerned citizens about the plans to remove invasive plant species from a 40-acre tract of White’s Woods.
Mike Lawer of Millstone Land Management talked about the process for this first phase.
Millstone Land Management will handle the project as a contractor at a cost of $20,000, pending final review and approval from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
During public comment Robert Lambert, representing Friends of White’s Woods, said that they want to be able to consult with the supervisors in good faith. Lambert added that he felt the Millstone plan would focus on standing timber for revenue purposes. Supervisor Rich Gallo said that is not the case.
In other business, the Township Supervisors authorized a $5000 donation to ICCAP to help them as they continue to help others during the Covid-19 outbreak. The township also opened bids for road materials and fuel. Bids for those items are expected to be approved at their next meeting, which is set for May 13th at 1:00 PM
