According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as of noon today, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indiana County increased to 55 with four deaths attributed to Covid-19. The number of positives reached 53 on Monday.
Armstrong County’s total of positive cases remained 38 and deaths at two, while Jefferson County remained at three positive cases and Cambria County jumped to 20, with two deaths. Westmoreland County positive cases climbed to 291, with four more deaths, bringing the total to 20.
The state is reporting that the number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 34,528, an increase of 1,296 from Monday, and deaths climbed to 1,564. In the past 24 hours, 360 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19 in Pennsylvania. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 39 percent of the 34,528 cases.
While 34,528 have tested positive in the state, 132,323 have tested negative. In Indiana County, 453 have tested negative.
