The Salvation Army says a second phase of food distributions will be held this afternoon in the lower parking lot at the KCAC with some changes from last Friday’s distribution.

Last week, the Army was able to distribute 125 food boxes and they went quickly, in twenty minutes. This week, they say the food will be in bags and they expect to receive enough for 375 families. Each bag will contain two frozen meals and breakfast items such as cereal, granola bars, and muffins.
The distribution will begin at 4 PM and last until the bags are gone. It’s one bag per family, and – our suggestion – if you got a box of food last week, please give others a chance today. The lower lot of the KCAC is the lot along Wayne Avenue. Please be patient and follow the direction of the people aiding with the flow of traffic.
