The Homer City Fire Department will accept donations for ICCAP’s food pantry in an effort to help the community.
In a post on its social media page, the Department said that during its meeting last night, it was approached by an ICCAP representative, who said ICCAP was having problems procuring enough food for those that need it. The department said that it will start accepting donations this Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM before moving to a schedule of Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM through May. The fire department asks that non-perishable food items be donated, and can either be brought into the station, or dropped off outside. Either way, the officials on hand will make sure that all proper guidelines are followed when it comes to remaining safe.
The food will then be distributed accordingly to ICCAP or to people in the community who need it.
