A bill concerning a waiver for car dealerships to open has passed the House State Government Committee.
The bill would require the Department of Community and Economic Development to issue the waiver for car dealerships to open provided that CDC guidelines are passed. The author of House Bill 2388, Republican Representative Natalie Mihalek of Allegheny and Washington Counties, said that surrounding states found a way to keep vehicle sales moving with zero human interaction, which would keep things safe for the dealership’s customers.
One of the 36 co-sponsors of the bill is Jim Struzzi of Indiana County. The bill will head to the floor of the state house.
