The Indiana County Court schedule today includes a Plea Court appearance for 36-year-old Kenneth Alan Ashley Jr. of Indiana, an SCI Rockview inmate who will plead to one charge, defiant trespass, in a case dating to May of last year. Charges of attempted theft by deception, conspiracy to retail theft, and receiving stolen property were previously withdrawn.
Also in court today, President Judge William Martin will consider the summary appeals of Center Township Supervisor John Bertolino and his wife, Rosemary, in a dispute with the township over a garage the Bertolinos built near Cherry Alley. From the township’s perspective, that issue was put to rest on Monday night when the supervisors approved a permit for the garage after a property agreement with a neighbor.
