Eddie Frank, 82 of Indiana (Rayne Township), died at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Born in Mentcle, July 25, 1937, he was a son of the late Paul Edward Frank and Ruth Ann (Good) Frank. He was the husband of Dotty (Shaffer) Frank whom he married July 10, 1956. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage later this year.
Eddie was a truck driver, first for A.F. Monroe and then later he drove his own trucks. He later worked for White Township as the Road Boss.
He enjoyed camping, hinting and being outdoors. He competed in many draft horse pulling contests at local fairs in the 1980’s and 90’s. Eddie loved blue grass music and had played in the John Nesbit Square Dance Band as well as the Odd and Ends Bluegrass Band, a group he had formed on his own. Eddie and his wife Dotty hosted a local bluegrass festival on their land in Rayne Township for nearly 20 years.
He had attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Indiana.
In addition to his wife, Dotty, Eddie is survived by his children: Carry Ann McAdoo and her husband, Rick, and Eddie “Pete” Frank, Jr. and his wife, Jean, both of Indiana. His grandchildren are Rickey McAdoo, Jr. and his wife, Glenda, Cranberry Township; Tim McAdoo and his wife, Michelle, Indiana; Eddie Frank III and his wife, Tiffany, Home. His surviving great-grandchildren are: Cameron Paige McAdoo, Indiana and Cooper Lee and Graclyn Leigh Frank, both of Home. Other survivors include his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Edith Mac Blaine, Indiana; Effie McAdoo, Knowlesville, NY; Linda Eastman, Middleport, NY; David Shaffer and his wife, Jo Ann, Moorsville, NC; and Charles Westover, Brush Valley. Eddie will also be remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews and by his many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Gifford Paul Frank in 2004, his sister, Edna Westover, and his brothers-in-law, Ken McAdoo, Dayton; Eastman and Jim MacBlaine.
Rev. Greg Golden will officiate his funeral service. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Indiana. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, service arrangements are private. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at a later date. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana is assisting the Frank Family.
