The number of Covid-19 cases in Indiana County increased once again, but Indiana Regional Medical Center is preparing for a possible spike in cases in Indiana County.
As was reported around noon on Friday, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Indiana County went up to seven, from six yesterday. IRMC President and CEO Steve Wolfe said that he feels that Indiana County is now in the “community spread” phase of the pandemic, and that the spike in cases for Indiana County could come next month.
Wolfe also said they are looking at contingency plans for off-site housing should Indiana Regional Medical Center need extra beds.
Wolfe also said that IRMC is doing everything they can to keep up with and, when possible, surpass all safety measures that have been put in place by the Centers for Disease Control to get ready for any situation that will come.
