Armstrong County Memorial Hosptial has reported the county’s first case of coronavirus.
In a post on their Facebook page, ACMH reported that as of Tuesday, the hospital has its first Covid-19 case in-house, and is the first positive case reported for Armstrong County. ACMH has notified the PA Department of Health and they are in process of notifying others who had prolonged contact with the patient.
ACMH officials say that they are continuing to follow specific procedural and safety measures put in place by the Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control to ensure patient and staff safety.
Hospital officials are asking that patients who are attempting to come in for routine lab work or other procedures contact their ordering provider to see if it is medically necessary to come at this time or if the testing can be postponed.
