One person was sentenced today in Indiana County Court for charges connected with an incident in Commodore last July.
Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco sentenced 66-year-old Garry Faber of Commodore for guilty pleas to endangering the welfare of children, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and harassment. The incident happened on July 5th of 2019, when State Police said that Faber threatened an un-named woman with a loaded shotgun in front of their five-year-old son. When troopers got to the scene, they found Faber had barricaded himself in the home and refused to come out. Troopers surrounded the property and after a few hours, Faber surrendered to authorities.
Judge Bianco ordered Faber to serve two to five years in state prison for endangering the welfare of children, one to five years in prison for terroristic threats, one to two years in prison for simple assault, one to two years for reckless endangerment, three months to two years for resisting arrest and no further punishment for the harassment charges. All the sentences will run concurrently.
