The Greensburg Catholic Diocese has announced further measures that the diocese is taking concerning Coronavirus.
Bishop Edward Malesic has announced that starting on Wednesday, the diocese will suspend all weekday and weekend public masses at all churches in the diocese. When possible, churches will remain open for private prayer. Priests will still be available for all pastoral emergencies and provide Anointing of the Sick for those critically ill and dying.
As far as other events related to the diocese, the diocese is asking for services like baptisms, weddings and funerals to scale back attendance to immediate family. They’ve also suspended all fish fries, bake sales, all faith formation programs and public celebrations like the prayer of the rosary and station of the cross.
The diocese will turn to the internet to help those stay connected to their faith. Mass will be streamed online on Sunday at 9:00 AM, with links posted on the diocese website and all social media platforms. They are also offering online resources including home prayer services and pray-along rosary videos.
