With the cancellation of almost all sports activities, nothing was happening on the local sports scene Saturday, and that will remain the case for the foreseeable future., other than the NFL Players Association wrapping up voting on a new collective bargaining agreement at midnight last night. No results have been announced.
Major League Baseball players can begin leaving training camp today if they choose. The start of the season is on hold until at least the middle of April. Teams stopped playing exhibition games on Thursday and have been waiting at their Spring Training sites since then. MLB announced yesterday that players could disperse if they want starting today.
The NHL and NBA seasons are halted as well.
