An Apollo man was jailed after an altercation with a woman yesterday morning at a home in Saltsburg.
State police say 51-year-old Martin Reed and the 64-year-old victim were involved in an argument that turned physical. Police say Reed put his hands on the woman’s neck in an attempt to impede her breathing. He is charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault, along with disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness.
Reed was taken to the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment before District Judge Susanne Steffee.
