Sidney Crosby and Marcus Pettersson scored the other goals. Matt Murray stopped 28 shots.
The Pens play the Capitals Saturday.
Washington lost Thursday night while the surging Flyers won their eighth straight game, and the two teams are tied for the top slot in the Metro Division with 87 points. The Pens follow with 84 points.
