The Pennsylvania Secretary of the Department of Community and Economic Development toured a manufacturing facility in Saltsburg earlier today.
Secretary Dennis Davin was at the NORMA Group plant in Saltsburg where they make hose clamps for numerous industries under the Breeze brand. After his tour, Davin said he was very impressed with the facilities.
NORMA was a past recipient of the Redevolpment Assistance Capital Grant, or R-CAP. Davin said that it was easy to justify awarding the grant to a company like NORMA.
Others on hand for the tour of the facilities were Senator Joe Pittman, Representative Jim Struzzi, County Commissioners Mike Keith and Robin Gorman and representatives from the ICDC, the Chamber of Commerce and the County Office of Planning and Development .
