UPDATE:
Other media sources have already announced the names of suspects, but out of respect for Indiana Borough Police, who have told us the information on a personal but not public basis, we intend to await the news conference.
A news conference will be held this morning to announce the filing of criminal charges in an armed robbery last month at two side-by-side addresses in Indiana.
Two people were injured in the incidents on February 14th. One was struck in the head inside the rented home at 835 Wayne Avenue. The other suffered a gunshot wound, reportedly in the neck, at 841 Wayne Avenue.
Police previously said that at the first address, multiple cell phones, two gaming systems, a TV, a laptop computer, and a wallet were stolen. Two residents were in the home when the robbery occurred and a third who was not there at the time is also considered a victim because of stolen property. At the second address, nothing was reported stolen.
None of the victims have been publicly identified, and to this point, no suspects have been named.
Today’s news conference will be conducted by the Indiana Borough Police Department, in conjunction with the District Attorney’s office. It’s scheduled for 10 AM in the council chambers at the Indiana Borough Municipal Building, and we will be showing it live on our Facebook pages.
