INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
A Blairsville woman is charged in connection with a domestic incident in Indiana Borough on Saturday. Borough Police say that at 1:33 in the morning on the 29th, police were called out for a domestic incident in the 200 block of Elm Street, and found that 40-year-old Kelly Hobart of Blairsville struck her significant other in a physical altercation. Hobart was also allegedly in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested on charges of simple assault, harassment and possession of a controlled substance, and was placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for March 16th in front of District Judge Cristopher Welch.
An Indiana man was charged with public drunkenness early Saturday morning. Indiana Borough police say at 12:20 AM on the 29th, police found 25-year-old Mackenzie Covey of Indiana drunk on alcohol to the point that he was a danger to himself and others. He was arrested for public drunkenness and taken to the Indiana Borough Police Station where he was released to a sober adult.
Indiana borough police have charged a York woman with DUI and summary traffic violations for an incident on February 23rd. Police say that at 3:20 AM, Alicia Manor collided with a parked vehicle in the 100 block of School Street. Police found her under the intoxicated at the time.
