Two items were on the agenda for last night’s Indiana school board meeting, and both concerned the East Pike Entranceway Project.
The board authorized sending notice of intent to award to three companies for three parts of the project. Notices will be sent to CNC Construction of Penn Run for the General Contractor at $1,120,905, Baer Services of Johnstown for the plumbing contract at $89,100, and A and MP Electric of Guys Mills for the electrical contract at $148,000. However, an item concerning the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning was added to the agenda. The board last night approved a motion that a proposal from Architectural Innovation to redesign and rebid the HVAC system at a cost not to exceed $18,000. Terry Kerr said that the changes could save the district some money.
The board will have their next regular meeting on March 9th.
