Another TV program will film in the Pittsburgh Region, and the production company is looking for extras.
Showtime is filming the TV series “Rust”, a drama series based on the book “American Rust” and will star Jeff Daniels, who will also serve as an executive producer. According to Deadline, the show will look at life through the eyes of Daniels character, Police Chief Del Harris, in a town in the rust belt region of Pennsylvania.
The company Movie Casting PGH will hold an open call for paid background actors on Sunday, March 1st from 9-4 at the David Laurence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. They are looking for all ages and ethnicities, and the extras will play small town locals, business and blue collar types, bar patrons, college football players, wedding guests, and other roles.
No experience is necessary for the job, and you don’t need to bring a head shot or prepare to act. Movie Casting PGH says they will meet with everyone who comes in and will take a picture of you on the day.
