No new information was released today concerning the investigation into the shooting and robbery on Wayne Avenue last week.
Police have been investigating the case since the evening hours of February 14th, when police say some thieves robbed side-by-side student rentals in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue. Two people were injured in the incidents, with one person being shot in the neck. The victim’s names and conditions have not been released. A description of the robbers is also not available at this time. Police have said that the thieves made off with multiple cell phones, two gaming systems, a television, a laptop computer, and a wallet and its contents. Two cell phones were later recovered near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and College Lodge Road.
Police say that barring anything breaking in the case, their next news release concerning this case will be on Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
